01Context

Transport infrastructure is particularly exposed to growing climate hazards.

A vulnerability assessment and an adaptation roadmap were necessary.

02Issues

Anticipating climate hazards and their impacts was critical for the resilience of structures and territories.

The aim was to translate risk analysis into concrete, prioritized adaptation measures.

03Mission objectives

  • Assess infrastructure exposure to climate hazards
  • Evaluate damages and risks
  • Design adaptation measures
  • Develop a national resilience roadmap

04Services provided by EAU-GEF

  • Assessment of climate hazard exposures
  • Analysis of damages and risks
  • Design of adaptation measures
  • National roadmap for resilient infrastructure

05Approach & methodology

The approach was based on hazard analysis, vulnerability assessment and co-development of adaptation measures.

Priorities were defined to remain operational and suited to the local context.

06Results & added value

The project provided stakeholders with a clear roadmap to strengthen resilience in the face of climate change.

It reinforces EAU-GEF's commitment to adaptation and resilience.
