01Context
Water resources management is a central issue for Senegal's sustainable development, in a context of increasing pressures and climate variability.
DGPRE wished to equip itself with a structured action plan, articulating diagnosis, priorities and implementation modalities.
02Challenges
Translating strategic orientations into concrete, prioritized and fundable actions was the main challenge.
Consistency between scales, stakeholders and uses had to be ensured.

The mission confirms EAU-GEF's role as a reference partner for water policies in Senegal.
